The Strong Life Dwells in Sanctuary & Shadows. Many years past The Good Lord by His grace showed me the importance of life preserved in the cocoon until the appointed time. A life escaping the safety and nurture of the cocoon state prematurely, exposes itself the risk of hostility in the external environment at a point when the life-form is ill-equipped/not adequately fortified to contend with it. Resulting in malformation of a life at best, and at worst, death. God in His great mercy has filled his Covenant; Old and New, with opportunities for us to gain and claim life sheltered in Him and in His way – the Strong life.
Passover – The Covering
For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite the first born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgement. I am the Lord.
And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses (dwelling places) where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:12-13
Let’s face it, no one is thrilled at the prospect of smiting (well most of us aren’t, anyway). But if we accept that there is sin in the world, then we must also to come to terms with its undesirable outcomes. Sometimes the grace & mercy afforded us is protection against the consequences of sin in the earth; or against the consequences of our own poor, or sinful choices, or unfortunate mistakes. At other times we are protected from God’s righteous judgement against sin in a rebellious World. Still, In all things the Lord has made, and continues to make provision for us. We have but to seek Him, and avail ourselves of it.
The Pavillion – The Secret Hiding Place
“For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in in His pavilion. In the secret of His tabernacle shall He hide me …” Psalm 27:5
Having gained entry into hospitable, divine shelter – The Dwelling Place; having been positioned closely enough to study Him (The scripture references “gazing” upon His beauty (not passing, fleeting, distracted, or casual glancing); such that we come to know and understand Him – He will then “hide me in His pavilion.” In the secret place of his tabernacle shall he hide me (in the time of trouble).
Strength in The Shadows
He that dwelleth in the secret place of The Most High shall abide under the shadow of The Almighty. I will say of The Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Psalm 91: 1-2
Why are we in the Shadow? Well, the shadow cast by the One who is full of light, The Almighty One (full of might, power, strength) is for our benefit, for our respite and security.
For the New Covenant Believer, The strong life is a life hidden in, and fortified by The Christ – who is The Light of the World; It is a life covered by His shed blood.
