about bluhem

“… And behold a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment.” Matthew 9:20

Sometimes life’s challenges overwhelm us; sometimes they’ve caused unspeakable suffering and sometimes unbearable shame.

Like the woman suffering for twelve years, we may have tried various remedies, and sought out diverse healers, until finally arriving at that desperate place where we’re willing to risk ridicule, embarrassment, humiliation, and rejection for one ultimate chance at being fully restored.

What impassioned seeking … Surely this kind of unrelenting pursuit, born of desperation and conviction will not go unheeded.  The Scripture is clear: The quest results in instant recognition, acknowledgement and reward.

But most times restoration involves both a promise and a process that requires something specific of us; even some special instruction we are to follow in order to derive the optimal outcome.

In the Old Testament, The Lord instructed the Israelites to include a single blue strand among the tassels of their garments symbolic of royalty; and as a reminder to observe His commands..

Again the LORD spoke to Moses saying, “Speak to the children of Israel: Tell them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners.  Numbers 15:37

The Arc of the Lord safeguarding the Israelites as they sojourned to the promised land; and preceding them into the new land, was shrouded in a blue covering .

For me, every healing place, every promised land begins at the hem of Christ’s garment. bluhem’s content is like an arm outstretched toward our Reigning king, The Lord Jesus … by whose stripes we are healed … every kind of healed.

bluhem’s aim is to discover, explore, curate and share healing wisdom. By God’s grace we will become more and more, a beacon of light for those seeking renewal of the body, soul and spirit. It is our hope that within these pages, seekers may find comfort, hope, and help that lead to healing and restoration.

No shame or rejection here. Just hope for those who dare to seek and believe.
